Today is my first day of Week 4 doing P90X. Week 4 is considered a recovery week, but I’m not expecting it to be easy. There are two days of Yoga X and two days of Core Synergistics. I haven’t done the Core workout yet (my first time is tomorrow) but word on the streets is that it’s pretty brutal. There are two days of X Stretch and one day of Kenpo X. A lot of people really seem to like Kenpo X, but I don’t think it’s all that great. It’s definitely a good workout–don’t get me wrong–but I feel like I get more out of Cardio X and Plyo.
Last week was pretty tough, so the change in schedule comes just in time. The strength training workouts were starting to get a bit tiresome. Although according to my husband, once Week 5 starts you wish you were back doing those boring old workouts again. I made the mistake of looking ahead to some of the exercises in the Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps workout and it looks pretty scary. Although I’m not a huge fan of Yoga, I can tell I’m getting better with some of the exercises. I think the people who skip Yoga are really missing out and selling themselves short. Like Tony says, Yoga pretty much forces you to work on your weak spots which in the long run enables you to do the other workouts at a much higher level of intensity.

You are going to love Core Synergistics. Great workout. Sometimes I do it instead of Kenpo. Ever considered becoming a Beachbody coach? You are sharing some nice info here and that is pretty much what we do as coaches.
Thanks, but my main goal is to just get through the 90 days first.
