Wow–Chest and Back seemed really difficult today. I was able to do better than last week on the majority of the exercises and used heavier weights. But there’s something I hate about this workout. The Back Flys are really awkward for me. I don’t feel like I’m getting the form right. I also seem really uncoordinated using the resistance bands for pull-ups. I can feel the burn, but I’m not sure I’m working the right muscles. I tried using a chair like they do in the video but I felt like the only thing I was working out was my leg! Not cool! Anyway, I’m glad I won’t be seeing this workout again until Week 9.
Ab Ripper X is slowly getting better. I’m not expecting miracles at this point. I still have a really hard time with the Oblique V-ups. I also can’t get my legs straight during Fifer Scissors but I’ve noticed some improvement there. I can complete 25 reps for all the exercises, just not at the same pace as everyone else, so I like to use the pause button.
I figure I’d rather get all the reps in with good form rather than just some of the reps with sloppy form. As time goes on I’m sure my speed will improve. I’m really looking forward to working on my core during recovery week.
What I’m NOT looking forward to is waking up at 5:30 AM tomorrow to do Plyometrics. DOH!!

It’s so funny reading your posts…I seems like I wrote them! I’m only on my 14th day and I’m going through the same things like you have described. In day 15 you have mentioned that you have tryed the pull-ups with the chair, I felt like I was working out my legs as well more than anything else
Thank you for that I don’t feel so alone and stupid reading your posts. I will follow you and your post for the entire 90 days I hope. I was a little disapointed when I stepped on my scale this morning, first week I was able to shed 4lb second 0lb. Not sure how that’s possible with my eating beeing so good… didn’t cheet yet!
Ava, try not to worry about the scale TOO much, your body is going through a lot of changes right now! A better indicator of your progress is how your clothes are fitting and your measurements! You will also experience the biggest changes near the end of Phase 3. You can try putting the chair behind you instead of in front and laying one foot on top. I found that works much better but you do need to have some strength in your back before doing that.
