As you probably already know, Shakeology is an ultra-premium, nutrient dense shake that can be used either as a snack or a meal replacement (depending on what serving size you use). It was developed by Beachbody, the same company that created P90X and many other popular home workout programs. The ingredients are derived from whole-food sources and Shakeology does not contain soy or anything artificial. There are several different flavors including chocolate, vanilla, and Greenberry (all made with whey protein) and two vegan formulas including chocolate and Tropical.
Chocolate vegan is my personal favorite! 🙂
I’m not going to go into too many details describing what makes Shakeology so popular and unique, because chances are if you’re searching for information on how to become a Shakeology distributor of affiliate you already know all those details. Basically, if you’re interested in becoming a Shakeology rep, you need to create an account on the Team Beachbody website if you don’t already have one. You can create a free account or sign-up for the club membership, it really doesn’t matter either way at this point. Eventually though, you will want to become a club member if you’re serious about building your Shakeology business to a level where it is providing you with a decent level of income. Plus as a club member you’ll also have access to the Beachbody On Demand library of streaming workouts which is super cool!!
Independent distributors for Beachbody products are referred to as “coaches.” Don’t let the word COACH scare you though. 🙂 It definitely helps if you have some experience with the products if your customers have questions but you can gain that knowledge as you continue to work on building your business either offline or online. It’s also your choice whether or not you promote other Beachbody products in addition to Shakeology. Some coaches/distributors/affiliates focus almost all of their efforts on Shakeology and do extremely well. However, a lot of people who are looking to use Shakeology to help them with their weight loss goals would also benefit from a workout program so it’s nice to have that option too.
If you’re interested in becoming a Shakeology distributor or affiliate I recommend connecting with a successful coach who is building their business the same way you want to build it (offline vs. online, Facebook, blogging, etc.) and signing up under them. Also, it’s a good idea to try Shakeology for a while to make sure you like it. It really doesn’t make sense to promote a product that you don’t believe in 100%. You can purchase a sampler packet and try out the different flavors to see which one you like best.
Keep in mind, if you already have an account on Team Beachbody and you sign-up to be a coach you will automatically be placed in the downline of the coach that’s already been assigned to you. That may or may not be a good thing depending on what kind of relationship you have with that coach already. You do have the option of switching coaches if you’d like but only before you sign-up to become a coach yourself.
Once you become a coach there’s many different ways to get started. I can help point you in the right direction but honestly, I don’t invite just anyone to join my team. I only want to work with people who are as dedicated to this business as I am. So, if you’re just thinking about “giving it a try” I’m not sure you would be a good fit.
How Much Does it Cost?
The sign-up fee is $39.95 and then it’s $15.95 per month after that which covers your business service fees, website maintenance, etc. This is seriously chump-change for a business that can potentially put you in the six-figure bracket if you’re willing to put in the work!
However, if you purchase a challenge pack (which includes the Beachbody program of your choice + Shakeology + 30 day trial of Beachbody On Demand) they will waive the $39.95 sign-up fee which is a great option, since you’ll eventually need to order your own personal supply of Shakeology. The price of the challenge packs vary depending on what BB program you choose but you can see the different options by going to TEAMBEACHBODY.COM >> BEACHBODY CHALLENGE >> CHALLENGE PACKS.
As a distributor you earn a 25% commission and also receive a 25% discount on anything that Beachbody sells. You also have the option of earning additional bonuses if you choose to build a team.

I usually recommend purchasing a challenge pack during the coach sign-up process since that will offer you a significant savings (assuming you are interested in starting a new workout program and getting on Shakeology so you can be proof the products work). If you do that the coach sign-up fee ($39.95) is waived. Other than that your business fees are $15.95 per month and $89.96 for Shakeology if you lock in on home direct now (it goes up to $97.46 on April 1st).
