P90X is organized into training blocks designed to challenge your body with its unique muscle confusion technique. Each training block is four weeks long and consists of three weeks of intensity (including the adaptive and mastery phase) and one week of recovery. However, during the one week of “recovery” don’t expect to sit on the couch and watch re-runs of your favorite reality television show. During recovery week you can expect to take a well-deserved break from your strength training workouts, but instead you’ll be focusing on seldom-used muscles as well as cardio, core strength, balance, and flexibility. Have I mentioned how fun P90X is??
The complete P90X program consists of 12 different workouts:
Chest and Back
Plyometrics
Shoulders and Arms
Yoga X
Legs and Back
Kenpo X
X Stretch
Core Synergistics
Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps
Back and Biceps
Cardio X
Ab Ripper X
(please stay tuned for an article that describes each individual workout)
Within the P90X program there are 3 different plans you can follow depending on your fitness goals: Classic, Doubles, and Lean. All 3 plans last for 90 days (13 weeks) and involve a commitment to push play at least six days a week. On average each workout lasts for just under an hour. The two exceptions are Yoga X and Ab Ripper X. Yoga X lasts for 90 minutes and Ab Ripper X is a grueling 16 minutes long. However, this workout is always done in addition to another workout so there’s never a day when you just do Ab Ripper X.
Here’s an outline of the different plans:
1. P90X Classic
P90X Classic takes advantage of the full realm of P90X workouts. No muscle is left behind! The only workout you won’t encounter here is Cardio X. That being said, you can still incorporate Cardio X into the Classic plan without going totally insane with Doubles (see below). For example, on days when I feel like I have some extra time and energy, I will do Cardio X in the evening after doing my regular scheduled workout earlier in the day. The main thing is to only add Cardio X on days when you do the strength training workouts. On days when I feel a little guilty about what I’ve eaten I also like to add Cardio X. π
Weeks 1-3
Day 1 Chest and Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 2 Plyometrics
Day 3 Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X
Day 4 Yoga X
Day 5 Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 6 Kenpo X
Day 7 Rest or X Stretch
Week 4
Day 1 Yoga X
Day 2 Core Synergistics
Day 3 Kenpo X
Day 4 X Stretch
Day 5 Core Synergistics
Day 6 Yoga X
Day 7 Rest or X Stretch
Weeks 5-7
Day 1 Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps, Ab Ripper X
Day 2 Plyometrics
Day 3 Back and Biceps, Ab Ripper X
Day 4 Yoga X
Day 5 Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 6 Kenpo X
Day 7 Rest or X Stretch
Week 8 (repeat Week 4)
Weeks 9 and 11
Day 1 Chest and Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 2 Plyometrics
Day 3 Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X
Day 4 Yoga X
Day 5 Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 6 Kenpo X
Day 7 Rest or X Stretch
Weeks 10 and 12
Day 1 Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps, Ab Ripper X
Day 2 Plyometrics
Day 3 Back and Biceps, Ab Ripper X
Day 4 Yoga X
Day 5 Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
Day 6 Kenpo X
Day 7 Rest or X Stretch
Week 13 (repeat Week 4)
2. P90X Doubles
The P90X Doubles plan kicks it up another notch. Doubles adds another cardio workout to the Classic plan three or four days a week. The Doubles plan is for those who want some extra cardiovascular exercise, either for performance or weight loss. If you plan on doing Doubles, you’ll definitely need to be careful while you plan out your diet, schedule and laundry! On certain days of the week you’ll be working out both in the morning and the afternoon or evening.
The P90X Fitness Guide states, “Those attempting Doubles should be completely injury free and have plenty of energy to add another workout to the schedule three or four days per week. The Cardio X workout is the least intense of the P90X series, but it’s still a serious calorie-burner.” BTW–when they say “plenty of energy” what they’re really saying is “plenty of calories”. And not those icky empty calories!
Even if you can’t do Cardio X three or four times a week like the Doubles plan has it laid out, you can still incorporate it into the Classic plan as described above.
Weeks 1-4, 8, 13 (same as the Classic Plan)
Weeks 5-7
Same as the Classic Plan but add Cardio X on Days 1, 3, and 5. You should do Cardio X in the morning on an empty stomach and the regular P90X workouts later in the day when you’ve got more glycogen for energy. Definitely plan on eating plenty of calories if you’re going to tackle Doubles!
Weeks 9-12
Same as the Classic Plan but add Cardio X on Days 1, 2, 4, and 5.
3. P90X Lean
The P90X Lean plan has more cardio and less resistance for those who for whatever reason don’t feel like they’re ready to tackle the Classic plan. I find that a lot of women like to flock to the Lean plan because they’re afraid of “bulking up” with the resistance workouts.
The truth is, it takes more than cardio to transform your body. Strength training is the ultimate key to losing fat. Don’t worry ladies, we don’t have enough testosterone to look like Arnold! I too, was once obsessed with burning calories with cardio, but then I read The New Rules of Lifting for Women and I saw the light. This book is a nice little companion to the P90X program and I would recommend it to any woman doing P90X because it fills in a lot of gaps, especially when it comes to the P90X nutrition plan which I’m not a huge fan of. You also gotta love the subtitle: Lift Like a Man, Look Like a Goddess. Woot!
The P90X Fitness guide says, “P90X Lean is for those who want a more cardio-based and slightly less intensive program. Make no mistake, this is the real deal and no picnic. In fact, you may sweat more than in P90X. What you sacrifice in overall gains in strength and speed, you’ll make up for with positive changes in lean body mass.”
The following workouts are omitted from P90X Lean: Plyometrics, Legs and Back
Remember, even if you’re a total muscle-phobic, instead of doing less reps with heavier weights, you can do more reps with lighter weights. And if you’re using resistance bands it works the same way. The general philosophy when performing exercises involving weights or bands is that 8 to 10 repetitions will build size, whereas 12 to 15 repetitions will create a slimmer/toned look. However, keep in mind that “toning” probably won’t make your muscles look any better than they do now, even if you manage to lose the layer of fat that sits on top of them.
At the end of the day, the great thing about P90X is that whether or not you follow the Classic, Doubles, or Lean plan, each individual workout and exercise can be adjusted according to your individual fitness goals. There is definitely not a “one size fits all” approach to P90X and that’s why it works. Tony frequently talks about variety throughout the different workouts which is essential to achieving success with the program.
In fact, the more variety you put into your workout, the better and faster your results will be. Again, it’s all about muscle confusion. By providing an extensive variety of different moves that take time to master, P90X is continually challenging the body’s muscles into new growth. The more you confuse the muscle, the harder your body has to work to keep up.
And no matter what you do, as long as you stick with it for 90 days you’ll be way better off than you were on Day 1!! π
PLEASE NOTE: I had to close the comments section on this post due to the fact that I could not keep up with the very high number of questions I was receiving. Hey AJ, I have seen people get good results with both the Lean and Classic plan. I prefer Classic but you really can’t go wrong with either one as long as you do something for 90 days. If you want try Lean for Round 1 (90 days) and then do Classic for Round 2 (90 days). No matter which plan you follow you will get good results. Just pick one. π
Hey Amanda,
After reading all your posts and doing some research I’m thinking about going with the classic P90x program but still hesitant. I’m 5’1 and 150 pounds so I obviously have a lot of weight to lose. I’ve never been much of a fitness person but I’m ready to do something dramatic and feel strong and healthy. My sister had a lot of success following the lean program but I want to see maximum results in 90 days. I’ve all ready adjusted my diet and know I can stick with my healthy eating habits. I’m just a little worried that the classic might be too much to jump into. (I doubt I can even do one pull up or push up) Would you recommend me starting the classic or lean program?
Hey Jenny, by “maximum” results I’m assuming you want to lose a lot of weight? P90X is not a weight loss program per se, so in order to get the results you want it will probably take more than 90 days. P90X is more for fine-tuning your physique. There’s actually a lot of information that I want to share with you, so I’m going to write something up and send it your email address if that’s OK!
Hi Amanda,
Which program would you recommend for someone who has 10 to 15 lbs to loose (small amount I guess) & wants to loose about 2 dress sizes? I’m currently 140 lb/5’1/size 8 or 10 and I want to be about 125-128/size 4 or 6. Or should I say that I want to fit into my pre-moving moving clothes.
I used to do Bikram 3 times a week before I moved to a small town with no Bikram and have thus seen the negative changes in my body. I still run most days given that I complete half marathons twice a year and do some weights, but my body just is not the same. I want my body back, and I hope that p90X could give it to me. Do you think that it could?
I also live on the second floor of an apartment complex. Can I still do it without upsetting all of my neighbors?
Since I want to loose 15 lbs – do you recommend the lean version? I’m read some things online with women gaining inches and losing very little on the classic. Whats your expert opinion?
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi Liz, that was not the result I got with the Classic plan at all! Did you see my before and after photos? I SHRANK a lot!! I would definitely recommend Classic for you because you only have a small amount of weight to lose (less than 20 pounds). Even better would be Doubles because of the additional cardio. I would assume that anyone gaining inches and not losing weight on the classic plan was not being very careful about their calories. P90X is not a weight loss program per se, but it will definitely give you your body back. The only workout that might cause problems for your neighbors is Plyo X because it involves a lot of jumping, but that actually might work to your advantage! Tony recommends that you “land like a cat” so the fact that you have neighbors below you will only make you work on your form a lot better. π
Thank you! This helps a lot. I will be doing the classic version.
please what would be best the lean or classic I am more looking for a 50 lb weight loss… Thank you for your time…
Shadia, 50 pounds is a lot of weight to lose with P90X. It can certainly be done but will most likely take you at least 3 rounds (270 days) to do it safely. Are the P90X workouts going to be something you’ll be excited about doing for 270 days? P90X is not a weight loss progam per se, it is more for fine-tuning your physique. You might want to consider another type of program that is more designed for weight loss like Slim in 6 that combines some resistance training with cardio. I don’t want to discourage you from P90X, but if you have a significant amount of weight to lose, you want to lose it gradually and then come back to P90X when you are ready to fine-tune your physique. I would love to help you reach your goals, if you have more questions feel free to use my contact form!!
I am getting married in June and I want to not only lose about 10 pounds but I need to tighten up my chest to get rid of my boobs and get rid of the tire around my stomach. I am 5ft9 and 190lbs. I just started the Classic Schedule and feel great after one day but will that help me in 3 months lose my boobs and help reduce my stomach fat? Or do you think the lean schedule is for me? Thanks
Don, I would definitely recommend the Classic plan…even Doubles if you are super-motivated. You can’t spot burn fat…your body burns fat where it wants to…but P90X will get you into shape. I would also recommend replacing one meal a day with Shakeology. And I’m not just saying that because I’m a Beachbody coach….I’m saying that because it really works. π
Hello, I am 18 years old, 5’5 inches tall and weigh about 135 lbs. I am really wanting to tone my muscles and lose the fat around my hips and on my stomach, but I do not want to get buff looking. I am wanting to lose at least 5 or 10 lbs for summer but I am not sure if the classic or lean is good for me. Any suggestions?
Hi Jessica, if you only have a few pounds to lose I recommend the Classic. Don’t worry, you won’t get bulky. I promise π
Hi! I am 25 years old, 120 pounds and 5’7″. I am doing the P90X Classic plan. I am interested in getting toned and defined. Is this the best option for me? Thanks!
Hi Amanda, My question to you is , would the p90x lean or the slim in 6 be better for me? I have a large amount of weight that I would like to lose and I know that the p90x classic would be too much for starting out. I am 5’4 and 175 lbs. So I was wondering what the difference between the two are and which would be better for me. Thank you.
Hey Lisa, P90X would probably give you the results you’re looking for but you might burn out because you need to do multiple rounds. I would only start P90X when you are within 25 pounds of your target weight. And then at that point I would definitely do the Classic plan. What kind of workouts do you enjoy doing? Slim in 6 is definitely a great place to start. I would love to help you reach your goals and give you some free coaching if you’re interested. π
Melissa, yes I would recommend following the Classic plan. π
HI AMANDA I HAVE A QUESTION, IF I DONT WANT TO DO MY DIET ON THE WEEKENDS WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST IN TERMS OF EATING OUT IM GOING TO STICK WITH MY 1800 CAL A DAY BUT EATING OUT.
IS THIS POSSIBLE THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
Hey Jessica, 1800 calories a day seems like a lot. You already know what foods are good and which ones aren’t. If you eat out on the weekends you will just need to be very specific and ask a lot of questions when you place your order…ask for no mayo, cheese, dressing on the side, etc. and things like that. Just because you’re eating out doesn’t mean you can’t eat healthy.
Hi Amanda,
I am so glad I found this website. I was really confused between the three programs. I started p90x 3 weeks ago but I skipped a lot of days in between. Now I am really motivated and I will do it regularly. I need your expert advice as many people above. I am 5.8′ tall and 127 lbs. I am really not sure whether I should lose weight but I do want a toned body, esp. my stomach, which is really flabby and ugly, back, thighs and hips. Please suggest me whether I should go with lean or classic.
Thanks.
Sana, the Classic plan along with a good diet will give you the results you’re looking for. π
I’ve been doing the P90X Classic but haven’t been following a nutrion plan (I got the disks second-hand). I’ve been doing it for a month and love the results (I’m toner, stronger, able to do things I couldn’t do a month ago!) But I’ve actually gained a small amount of weight (around 4 lbs) and see no change toward loosing it.
I’m considering doing P90X a second round (after I do classic), and wasn’t sure if I should switch to lean, or doubles, or stay with classic, or maybe do slim in 6, then go back to p90x.
I really enjoy the p90x and the strength I’ve gained. I’m 5’4″ female 200 lbs (which is a sign to how much fat I have).
What would you recommend?
P.S. Oh yeah, and one of the concerns I have is that if I switch to slim in 6 after I finish P90X classic, that I might loose motivation from bordem (there is not as much variety to the slim in 6 workouts from what I can tell), or possibly loose some of the strength I’ve gained from P90X.
Hi Amanda,
Who would benefit from the lean program? I have about 25 pounds I really want to lose, maybe more if I don’t like where I am by then but I’m mainly shooting for at least 25 (would loveee to lose 30-40 though!). I had a baby 3 years ago and am just trying to get rid of all this extra weight and tone back up. I’ve got about 30-40 to lose to get back to where I was before I got pregnant. Will the classic program and diet be right for me? Or should I do doubles? I want to maximize my weight loss and only have a few months to do so because after these next few months I become extremely busy by transferring to a University so I will just not have the time to really work on myself like I have now. What could you suggest for me? Also if I cannot lose most of this weight through this extreme diet and exercise what more could I do? Thank you!
Hi Allie, your diet is going to play a large role in the long term results you get with P90X or any other workout program. It will definitely help you achieve your goals but it will probably take you more than one round. If you enjoy these type of workouts that should be fine, but I’m worried that you may eventually get bored the program. P90X is more for fine-tuning your physique rather than losing large amounts of weight. You may want to stick with something more cardio-based and then return to P90X when you’re closer to your goal. I would also recommend tracking your daily nutrition using a free website or phone app like myDailyPlate or myFitnessPal. It’s really important that you learn how to judge portion sizes, calories, etc.
Ell, the Doubles program will help you lose the most amount of weight but “extreme” dieting is never a good idea. It’s important to remember that when it comes to reaching our fitness goals it’s not about how FAST we can get there. It’s about what we learn on the journey to getting there and STAYING there. So while results might not always be as quick as we like, what matters most is that our gains are sustainable AND long-term. I would only recommend the Lean program to those that have more than 25+ pounds to lose but are unable to commit to the time requirements of Doubles. But understand that if you do the Lean program you will most likely need to do another round of P90X to get the results you want.
I’m sorry! That came out wrong. I was thinking about Extreme Home Fitness when I said extreme dieting lol. So say I follow the diet, which I have a ton of questions about π That’s been the most confusing part to me. But say I follow the diet and do the doubles, do you think it would be possible to lose around 25-30 without getting bulky? I would like to lose more than 25 if possible, but my realistic goal is 25…so just to make sure I understand, you are saying to meet my goal I could either do the doubles or the lean twice? Or what do you think about me doing the doubles the first go around and then the lean second? Would that jeapordize any muscle I would attain by doing the lean second?
Also on phase 1 recipes, there are no dinner recipes to choose from. Could I use some of the lunch recipes for dinner or do I have to use them for lunch? I’m trying to put together a meal plan for each day that fits into the requirements of the diet, but I don’t know what to do for dinner since there is nothing to really choose from….and would those wieght watcher shakes be considered protein shakes by any chance?? As I lose weight do I need to recalculate my calories and switch to a different level like from level 3 to level 2 then from 2 to 1?
I am sorry for this being so long and I Thank you so much for taking your time to answer! I think it’s great you help guide all these people π
hi,
I am 18 years old,a 5’9” male and i am 200lbs.i am out of shape and looking for weight loss rather than building muscle.i am some what active,i dont go to the gym but cycle(half hour) and run(20 min) 6 days a week.i am not able to do even one pullup and can do only 1 to 2 pushups.could u please suggest which program to do p90x or p90 or p90 master series or any other program that I should do before p90x?if I do p90x should I do lean or classic?
As I want to become slim do I have to buy weights for various routines in p90x as I donβt feel like using them.i feel they tend to reduce height. Is there any alternative for that in the p90x program?
In the fit test do I really need to pass the bicep curl test or can it be done away with some other exercise?
I prefer vegetarian food and eggs over non veg so could u suggest alternatives for chicken and other non veg foods in the nutrition plan which has to strictly followed during p90x?is there any alternative for supplements that we have to buy from beachbody.com or any other shop?.i have bought some of the equipments and have to buy 1 of the beach body program(p90x) so buying supplements would make things less cost effective?
Please help,
Thanks.
Raghav, P90X is based almost entirely on using weights and strength training. If you’re not a fan of either one I might suggest another workout program! There is information in the nutrition guide for vegetarians.
Ell, the best piece of training advice I ever got was, “Be consistent with your efforts and the overall details won’t matter.” Just press play everyday, and be smart about what you eat. Do that consistently, and you will see results. Just pick one of the plans, and do it. π
Hi my name is Heather, i am almost 19, 5’7″ and around 120 pounds. I have read all of these questions and your replies and i realize everyone is different. but i also haven’t seen much ‘p90x lean’ being recommended. i was curious if i should do lean or classic myself. my main goal is to not loose any weight because i don’t think i need it, but just tone up my body to a better form. do you still think classic is the best bet?
also i have looked at different sites and i am a little confused on the nutrition plan, and is there a different nutrition plan for each of the three different styles of the workouts (lean, classic, doubles?)
i have been eating correctly but not in the right amounts. as in i don’t think i have been getting enough calories in my diet and i don’t think that the p90x will work the same.. how many calories should be in my intake for my size and height, depending on the workout recommended to me?
Heather, I usually don’t recommend the Lean program to anyone because it doesn’t contain enough strength training. If you want to change your body as you say you are much better off doing Classic. There are lots of websites that can help you estimate your daily caloric intake….just type CALORIE CALCULATOR into Google and a bunch will come up. Do a few different ones and you should come up with an average…again it will be just a guesstimate but it will give you a starting point. Once you start the program you should log EVERYTHING you eat into a food journal like MYFITNESSPAL or MYDAILYPLATE and gauge your progress every couple weeks to see if you need to make adjustments. P90X comes with a nutrition guide that you can follow no matter what plan you follow! Yes, based on your height and weight it sounds like you need to add some healthy calories to your diet in the form of protein, whole grains, and healthy fats. If you are doing P90X and getting enough calories you will gain weight in the form of muscle, not fat.
Hi. I’m a 17 year old girl and I weigh 150 pounds. I want to lose atleast 20 pounds. I have done a lot of research on p90x and I think the classic or double would be good for me to help me lose weight. I want to lose atleast 10-15 pounds by the time July starts. Do you think this would work for me. Do you have any tips that would help me lose 10-15 pounds by July 2011?
Hey Amanda! I’m 5’4 and I weigh about 155 pounds right now. I feel like I’ve been lazy so I wanted to start doing more exercise. I find P90X to be a great way to get more exercise, I’ve only done it for three days now and I feel good about it. I kind of just did the ones that I feel like were good, but now I realize the plans so I’m not sure which I want to adjust to. My goal is to have more muscle and also burn fat in my abs. Not looking too much to lose weight, just looking to be more in shape. Any advice/suggestions?
Hey Kevin, there is no way to spot burn fat but concentrating on your nutrition will help you a lot. 80% of our body composition is determined by what we eat. If you follow the Classic plan and Energy Booster (40/40/20) recommendations from the nutrition guide you should get really good results!
Hi Amanda, I was wondering if classic would be my best option. I have read your other answers and understand that P90X is not for weight loos but I really just have a bit of a belly and, judging by peoples before and after pics, it really looks like the classic program does burn fat if you stick to a diet. From a lot of information I have came across it seems that men tend to lose weight more than women during the classic program, is that right?
Hi, I started P90X 6 days ago with the lean routine and have decided to switch to the classic routine. I noticed that the only difference is the first 2 days. Should I restart or start my second week with the Classic routine? Let me know what you think…
Hi Amanda! I’m currently doing P90X classic version (I’ll be starting week 3 today). I’m 5’1″/133 lbs, and I’d like to drop 7 and 10 more lbs to get to my goal weight. I plan on completing one round of the classic version and then doing a second round of the lean version. What are your thoughts or advice on this? Thanks!
Hi Stephanie, it should be fine to go ahead and start doing Classic during your second week! No need to restart! π
Hi Rosalyn, going to Lean after a round of Classic is like taking a step backwards. The best way to get the results you want is with strength training (weights) and the Lean program does contain enough strength training. I would recommend doing Doubles, or getting some of the Tony One on One DVDs to add a little more variety to your routine. Asylum is a great program too. I like Insanity, but usually not as a stand-along program if you are that close to your goal. It is mostly cardio-based and doesn’t have enough strength training. Also, at this point you REALLY want to concentrate on your nutrition as that will make a BIG difference as you fine-tune your results. π
Hello,
I am lost, I don’t know which one to do or what to do. I am almost 18, 5’3 last time i weighed myself i was 181 but I do not look like i would be 181, I guess I’m just heavy boned? Well i have the DVD’s to P90x but i don’t know if it would be good for me or I don’t know which one to do. I really want to lose weight down at least to 145, i want to lose lots of inches and tone up. I have three months of summer vacation before i start college i want to transform myself completely, like jaw-dropping!!
Mady, you just need to press play and follow one of the schedules (I like Classic or Doubles) that is provided in the guide! It takes time to experience a transformation but you will definitely make some serious progress if you stick with it for 90 days!
Hi! I’m so glad you’re still answering questions! This is so important and so great that you’re helping people change their lives….for free! thank you for that. By reading the comments to others, I’ve decided that id like to begin with the doubles program.
I’m 5’2 about 127-125lbs (I don’t own an accurate scale so I check whenever im at publix) . I want to first get down to 115,then put on muscle and be a total of 118 tops. (Is this realistic?) I was 135 and started losing weight with diet and insanity. Diet plays a big role in my weight loss…im noticing. Well let me tell you my goals:
I want flexibility flexibility flexibility! Cardiovascular endurance, and muscle because I’m pretty skinny in the arms and chest area. And a very strong core…all under 119lbs. π and id really love for you to be my coach. Plz. I need a support group! I’m tired to ppl saying I’m fine…I have personal goals. Plz let me know what you think. Feel free to send me an email.
Be blessed.
Hey Rebecca, I sent you an email! π
Hi, Amanda I’m trying to lose fat fat fat! I’m 14 Years old and I weigh 345lb and I’m 6.0″ FT tall and trust me Im able to do this program I don’t have any health issues at all. I’ve done classic befor but u know as a teen I lose motivation on like the third or fourth day. I’ve restarted the program like 4 times now. The last time I did it was on July 6 I think and I missed like 4 days now. I was just looking at the book and I saw the lean and I just wanted to ask you which one will make me lose fat faster. And what kind of meals or foods should I eat. PS: I’m out of school right now I have one month and a half of vacation left. π also I dont want my skin to stay u know kind of lose so should I build up muscle to fill it it? Thank you please respond as soon as possible.
hey amanda ,
i am just wondering like mostly everyone which program i should do myself i am 5’3
125 lb and i would like to loose about 10 pounds and mostly tone up but not bulk up. what program do you think is best for me? thanks.
adding to my comment i would mainly like to loose fat to start showing my abs
I am 5’2″ and weigh 148lbs. I want to lose about 20-25 pounds. Maybe more, but I have muscle and that weighs more. Even if I dont accomplish the weight goals, my main priority is to like the way I look. Which schedule should I do? If you could just email me.
Thanks!!
Hi Amanda,
I did round 1 of Classic P90X. I lost 16 lbs or so. I currently am 5 8 and 254 lbs. P90X is something I have to stick with. It is the only thing that motivates me and the only thing I enjoy doing! My current problem is that I di not know which of 3 I should do.. I just want to lose 20 or 25 lbs by the first 90 days. I am being realistic. Which one do you think I should do?
I also follow the diet, no protein shakes though.
Hey May, if you have the time Doubles will definitely give you good results. But it requires you to do two workouts three days a week. If not I recommend doing the Classic plan. If you lost 16 lbs. during Round 1 you’re definitely doing something right. π You might want to consider adding Shakeology to your daily routine. If you’re not ready to purchase a full bag lemme know and I can tell you how to order individual packets for a little cheaper.
Hi Amanda! I’m on my second week of P90X. I’m having issues following the diet because I’m in midyear vacations, but I’m 100% sure I’ll be able to follow it once I get back to classes in about a week. That being said I can’t quite find myself eating that many proteins per day, I skip about 2 portions….Will this affect my final results too much?
Also, I was extremely sore on my first week. Everything hurt bad and I could hardly walk after plyo, but I did plyo yesterday for my second time and even though I’m a bit sore it’s nowhere close to where I was last week. Does it mean that I’m not working hard enough?
Thanks! π
