OK, I have a confession to make. I LOVE CHOCOLATE SHAKEOLOGY. But only if I use half of a serving! For whatever reason, one entire serving is just too strong a taste for me. The first time I tried Shakeology it was made using one full serving and I was like, “That tastes OK. I might be able to drink one of those everyday.” But I was a little sad and disappointed. 🙁
And then I tried it again using only 1/2 serving and I said, “OMG! Are you kidding me? I can drink THIS everyday? Are you sure? Wait, what did you say? I can drink this TWICE a day now? Sa-weet!” (I was hoping the same would be true for Greenberry, but sadly . . . NO. Ick.)
So there you have it. I understand a half serving of Shakeology only gives you half the nutritional value, but the way I see it, that means you can either have a second shake later on during the day or your bag of Shakeology will go twice as far. It’s a win-win either way you look at it.
Anyway, here’s the Shakeology recipe that makes me jump for joy . . .
–> 1/2 serving Chocolate Shakeology (NOTE: that’s 24 grams. I’m not sure how that equates to a scoop because right now I’m using the packets and I’ve been measuring the powder on a food scale. My next order will be a bag of chocolate so I’ll figure it out when it arrives and post an update.)
–> 1 cup almond milk (you can also use skim or soy milk but I think the almond milk has a nice nutty flavor that goes well with the chocolate)
–> 1/2 banana
–> handful of ice to thicken
The Magic Bullet works really well with Shakeology (I wish I had gotten the set with the two travel mugs *SIGH*) but if you’re making multiple servings for a spouse, roommate, or whoever . . . a blender would probably work better. If you want to give Shakeology a try but don’t want to spend $120 on a whole bag, contact me and I’ll give you instructions on how to get a free sample or order multiple packets at a time.
