I’m soooo excited for our MAY challenge because keeping both pets and their people healthy is a cause that I’m VERY passionate about! Before I became a full-time fitness and running coach I worked 13+ years as a veterinary technician so this is definitely something that is near and dear to my heart!
We would LOVE to have you join our FIT Runner 30-Day Challenge and STRUT YOUR MUTT at least 1 MILE every day during the month of May. You can walk or run…it doesn’t matter as long as you find a way to get you and your pooch off the couch and out of the house!
And if that isn’t going to be fun enough, I found a way to make our GET FIT WITH FIDO challenge even BETTER. We can all come together as a community and GIVE MONEY to the ASPCA for every mile we run/walk during the month!
Here’s how it works:
You’ll need to download the CHARITY MILES app from http://www.charitymiles.org. I created a TEAM for all us called #fitrunnerclub. You’ll need to join this team from the app so we are all working together to raise money and we can even compete against other! 🙂
When you start your run/walk you’ll want to log into the app and select ASPCA from the list of charities. For each mile you run/walk Charity Miles will donate $1 to the ASPCA. Is that cool or what? Of course, you’re welcome to select any charity on the list, but I think the ASPCA is a GREAT choice for this challenge!
Also, because every runner needs to GET FIT to run better, there will be two options to add a little strength training to your daily routine. You can use one of these options in addition to your daily run/walk.
OPTION #1
BEACHBODY “CHALLENGE DU JOUR” LIVE STREAMING OPTION
Beachbody recently started offering Live Streaming of many of its most popular workout programs (more programs are added each month). If that isn’t cool enough, they are now offering a FREE 30-day trial membership!
For our 30-Day Challenge, runners who choose to enroll in the free 30-day club membership trial will have access to over $2000+ worth of programming in the member library. The library has access to programs for beginners all the way to advanced athletes. And each day during the challenge period I’ll select a different workout for you to do!

NOTE: If you already used your 30-Day Free Live Streaming trial last month you can either keep your subscription for a small fee OR you can choose OPTION #2.
OPTION #2
I know not everyone has access to the kind of WiFi that makes live streaming possible so I wanted to make sure all of my Fit Runners would be covered for the next 30 days. To those runners looking for a different kind of challenge, I will still provide a simple daily workout in our private Facebook group that you can do in addition to your daily run/walk.
