Well, at least I was expecting it to happen this time, so I’m not as concerned as the first time I did P90X. I’m now experiencing the P90X “doldrums” which usually happens sometime between Phase 2 and Phase 3. I would describe it as a period of boredom and stagnation, where you don’t feel like anything is happening. In fact, you might even feel a little chubby, a little bloated, and a little more jiggly than you did a couple weeks before. It can be discouraging, but I’ve learned that it’s all just a part of the “magic.” I highly recommend staying away from the scale until the doldrums are over . . .
This happened to me during Round 1 (I’m on Round 2 now) and I got so concerned that I decided to start Doubles after my second recovery week. By the time Day 90 came around, I was bouncing off the walls, and couldn’t believe the changes I was seeing during the last week of the program. So, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that I’m experiencing the same thing again . . . I’m just looking forward to moving on with things so I can get back to bouncing off the walls again. 🙂
Actually, if I had my Shakeology, now would be a perfect time for the 3-Day cleanse, which gives your body a boost and a jump-start during the recovery week of your workout program. But alas . . . I haven’t ordered it yet, so I’ll have to wait until next time!
