Well, I’ve decided to take on a new challenge (as if I didn’t have enough to do). Except this challenge is more mental than physical. I guess we need to keep things balanced, eh?
Earlier this year I wrote a post explaining why I didn’t want to be a Beachbody coach. I decided to do this after being inundated with comments on my blog from Beachbody coaches, practically begging me to sign-up under their affiliate link. I’m sure everyone that took the time to leave their generic comment is an extremely nice person, but sadly they know very little about how marketing works. Instead of being a positive spokesperson for Beachbody, they did the opposite and pushed me away. One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of Beachbody coaches during these past few months is that many of them know very little about internet marketing and some know even less about health and fitness. This is somewhat depressing when you think about it.
At the same time I know there are also some good coaches out there that really know what they’re doing. However, they seem to be more the exception than the rule. These are the coaches I want to learn from.
It took a few months, but fellow Michigander Marcus Ochoa finally took my bait and left a comment on my negative post in defense of Beachbody’s coaching program. A part of me was secretly waiting for someone to call my bluff so I could pick their brain. Now that I’ve completed my first round of P90X I feel like I have the proper qualifications to help someone else out that might have questions about the program or just working out in general (one of my major beefs about Beachbody’s coaching program is that there are no qualifications to be a “coach.” Your 350 lb neighbor that sits in front of the television and eats Fritos all day is eligible). Perhaps now, I could give it a try?
So, after visiting Marcus’ website I decided to offer him up a challenge. Since he managed to earn himself an impressive monthly income of $1000 in less than 12 months time, could he help someone else do the same? Could he prove me wrong? Is Beachbody’s coaching program worth taking seriously?
The way I figure, there are two possible outcomes:
1. After putting forth a reasonable amount of effort, I fail to earn $1000/month in 12 months or less. If that’s the case, my original post which outlines all the problems with Beachbody’s coaching program will be vindicated. In other words, I can tell Marcus “I told you so.”
2. 12 months from now I’m earning $1000/month.
Either way, I win! Honestly though, I’m really hoping for option #2 . . . so, GAME ON!
To sum things up, you should expect a slight redesign and redirection of this website in the next couple weeks. My life is pretty focused on staying healthy these days, so I think that will be the main focus. This website has always kinda gone with the flow, which is what I like most about it.

Hi Amanda and welcome to the team. With your internet marketing experience you should have no problem reaching your goal. Beachbody is about people helping people. Some might even find inspiration from the 350 lb neighbor. If this person wants to coach or do a Beachbody program then they want change and with that will come inspiration and motivation. We want others to make healthier eating choices and incorporate fitness into their lives. In a nutshell that is what we are sharing.
If you have any questions feel free to give me a ring or send me an email. My contact info is on my site.
Make it a great day!
Hi Jeff, thanks for the pep talk! I need to learn how to do that.
I’m assuming you’re related to Marcus somehow? You both certainly look alike!
Marcus is my brother and we are both here to help you. If you need anything just let us know.
