What are the Different Beachbody Coaching Levels?

There are nineteen official ranks of Beachbody Coaches. Ranks, as well as commissions and bonuses are calculated every 7 days because weekly “active” status and rank qualifications determine the eligibility for different bonuses. The system updates every Wednesday night at 12AM midnight EST. At any rank level you can be either ACTIVE or INACTIVE. Active status means you are maintaining at least 50 Personal Volume (PV) points within a bonus period (every 35 days). Each coach has a two “legs”: a left leg and a right leg. Your status and bonuses are determined by what’s going on in each different leg.

  1. Paul says:

Thanks for explaining this. It really helps to clear things up for me. I was very confused about the levels and what was required. This seems like a legit opportunity. I am very into fitness and even have started my own fitness boot camp because I wanted to help as many people become fit as possible. I think being a Beachbody coach could allow this as well.

  2. Amanda says:

Most definitely Paul! If you have any more questions feel free to shoot them my way.

  3. Rebekah says:

Thanks for this entry. It is helpful. I am a coach and I have been looking for the answer to this question. Maybe you know. To go 2 star diamond, do you have to have a diamond in each leg or can it be 2 diamonds in the same leg? Thanks for the feedback.

  4. Amanda says:

Hey there Rebekah! I believe according to the coach policies guide it’s one diamond in each leg. A little tricksy at first, but after that you can have multiple diamonds in the same leg. For example, a 4-star diamond coach doesn’t need 2 diamonds in each leg, they could have 1 in their left and 3 in their right. The minimum requirement is at least ONE diamond in each leg. I hope that makes sense! Go get ‘em! :-)

  5. Corissa says:

Thanks a lot for this breakdown! It really helped me set my goals for this year. I am about to become Emerald and started hearing all these new opportunities that would bring me. I’m still not sure exactly what the “cycle” bonus is and I’ve heard a lot about the “Success Club” too, and no clue. It does sound like a foreign language!!!

  6. Amanda says:

I glad it helped Corissa! Hang in there, it will all make sense to you soon! Make sure to reach out to your upline sponsors if you ever have questions…they should be happy to help you!

  7. Danelle says:

    Hey Amanda,
I just ordered Power 90, am way out of shape and overweight, but have always loved helping others and learning/teaching about nutrition and fitness. I stumbled across the Beachbody Coach page and am looking into it and considering it. I am a stay at home mom and it seems to be a great opportunity to do alongside my own journey to health, fitness, and weight loss.

I hope that this question isn’t too personal, but I have read a lot of your articles here and was wondering…what level are you at right now. (If you don’t mind sharing).

Thanks for all the good information.

  8. Amanda says:

Hi Danelle, I don’t mind sharing at all! I’m currently a Star-Diamond coach and have plans to help at least 15 other people on my team achieve that level or higher. Maybe you are one of them?!? ;-)

  9. Barbara says:

    Hi Amanda,

    Quick question please:

So, if I understand correctly, to go Ruby, it doesn’t matter how many active PS coaches you have, but you need 1 Emerald in each leg?
In other words, once you are Emerald, you can have 4 (or more) active PS coaches- but you won’t go Ruby unless 2 of them first go Emerald?
So you can sit at Emerald, and keep adding active PS coaches (maybe for the discount only)forever, and unless and until 2 of them go Emerald themselves, you won’t advance…

    Did I get it right?

    Thanks so much :)

  10. Sharyn says:

Thanks for explaining this…what is the advantage to upline coaches placing new coaches “under” you? Before I had signed ANY coaches personally, I realized (through the geneology reports) that I have coaches another 15 levels UNDER me…how does that work for my upline, and how will it help me, if at all? Right now, I am Emerald with 5 coaches personally sponsored, one more on the way tomorrow. :)

  11. Amanda says:

That’s correct Barbara, the majority of coaches skip right over Ruby and go straight from Emerald to Diamond. :-)

  12. Amanda says:

Hi Sharyn, non-personally coaches contribute to your team volume and therefore your team cycle bonus.

  13. Holly Cohwn says:

Hey Amanda! I just reached Emerald this morning but my coach had asked me if my two sponsored coaches were in different legs or not? How do I know if they are? They just signed up under me, and that’s as far as I know lol

    Holly

  14. Amanda says:

Great job Holly! Take some time to become familiar with the back office including the MY BUSINESS tab. You will find a lot of info there. ;-)

  15. melaniep says:

Hi Amanda. Are you still doing the Beach body business? I have a few questions regarding the business. Wondering if we could talk privately via e-mail or phone? I am a former MLM’er who quit another business while I was on the “top”….I had 1,000 consultants and 2 million annual sales. I swore I would never do anything like this again, but re-thinking things.

  16. Amanda says:

Hi Melanie, yes I am still a Beachbody coach. If you’d like to send any questions you have via my contact form I’d be happy to help.

  17. Kristina says:

Thank you for posting this. I was thinking about becoming a coach and your explanations has helped a lot.

  18. Matt says:

    Hi Amanda,

I have been a coach for a little over a year and would like some pointers of how to find PS coaches? My friends are not interested which makes this difficult.

  19. Amanda says:

Hi Matt, I don’t know of anyone that built a successful business by just relying on their friends. ;-) You need to build relationships, establish trust and grow your network. Take the time to invest in yourself and lots of personal development. It’s not about “finding PS coaches”. It’s about figuring out how you can add value to other people’s lives.

  20. Nicole says:

Thank you Amanda!!! I’m a Emerald coach trying to grow and this really helped me understand the rank advancements!

  21. Tiffany says:

This was so formative and easy to understand. My favorite part is how u have Proverbs listed on your page which means a lot to me :)

  22. Pamela Bundy says:

I finally get it, thanks for this brief and informative information.

  23. Maddie says:

    Hi there!
    thanks this was helpful!
So as you get higher up in ruby or diamond do you still have time to have customers buying from you or do you focus more on the coaches on your team and not do much retail sales?

  24. Amanda says:

Your requirements for personal volume do increase as your rank increases but it’s not by much.

  25. Ruby says:

    Hi Amanda!

This is extremely helpful, thank you! Do you know how many coaches there currently are? I’m afraid the market is becoming too saturated. Also, I’m just started my journey in getting back into shape and losing weight, would starting a team now be beneficial or after I have results to show?

  26. Amanda says:

Hi Ruby, thanks for stopping by! I think right now there are about 130,000 coaches. Why do you think the market is becoming too saturated? Are there too many doctors, dentists, lawyers, teachers, race car drivers, dog trainers, etc? Success is not limited to a finite group of people. That’s like going to the ocean and saying to yourself, “Geez, I hope they save some sand for me.” Also keep in mind that around 85% of coaches sign-up simply to take advantage of the 25% discount and aren’t interested in building a business. CEO Carl Daikeler is working towards a goal of at least 1 million coaches in the network, so I think there is plenty of room for growth. :-) The sooner you can start building a team the better. There really is no good reason to wait.

  27. Tina says:

    Amanda,
I’m confused about the Far and Wide….When a coach signs up under a coach can you designate which leg they are under since it seems that you need to build two legs?
