Hello! Thanks for checking in. My name is Amanda K. Jones and I currently work full-time as a licensed veterinary technician at a small animal clinic in southeast Michigan. My husband and I share our home on 3 acres with five cats and two dogs.
A few years ago I started doing freelance writing work for several veterinary-related organizations including the American Animal Hospital Association, Nestle Purina, BowTie Press, and Veterinary Technician magazine. Lately I’ve been shifting my focus from writing content for client newsletters and magazines to writing articles and content for my own websites and blogs. I enjoy writing for many different platforms including Hubpages, Infobarrel, and Squidoo. There’s so many things I want to start blogging and writing about–but there’s only so many hours in the day!
I think writing is one of the best ways to learn about a topic. In order to write an article or blog post that is both interesting and informative a lot of reading needs to go into the research process which is something else I love to do.
During the past year or so I’ve been doing a lot of reading on the topics of American History, the Constitution of the United States, the Austrian theory of economics, and Libertarianism. Other topics I find interesting include cooking, baking, health, nutrition, supplements, web design, blogging, Photoshop, and of course–pets!
I just recently started the P90X Extreme Home Fitness program and my experience with that has grown into a large aspect of this blog as well. No, I’m not interested in becoming a Beachbody coach, but thanks for asking.
As you can tell my interests are quite diverse and I never know what my pesky brain might come up with next. I decided to start this blog as way to help organize my thoughts as well as educate others.
Thanks again for visiting!
